TV and movie studios, soundstages, and production facilities are subject to rigorous fire safety requirements enforced by the NYC Fire Department, local fire marshals, and production insurance carriers. Drapes, curtains, backdrops, soft goods, set dressings, and decorative fabrics must all be treated with a certified fire retardant before filming begins.

North American Fireshield has served major television productions including Saturday Night Live (NBC) and numerous Broadway and theatrical productions. Our technicians understand the pace and demands of production environments — we work quickly, efficiently, and around your schedule to ensure every material is treated and certified before your shoot.

We apply Inspecta-Shield Plus™ onsite at your studio, soundstage, or location. The treatment is colorless, odorless, and non-toxic, so it has zero impact on the look or feel of your set dressings, costumes, or props. A Certificate of Flameproofing is issued upon completion, satisfying fire marshal inspections and production insurance requirements.

Whether you're treating a standing set, a one-time production build, or a touring theatrical production, North American Fireshield provides the speed, certification, and documentation your production requires. We serve studios and productions throughout New York City, the NY Metro area, and the East Coast.
